Background to Awards

We have great pleasure in announcing the launch of The Drum Marketing Awards an event that is designed to ensure individuals, agencies and in-house marketing teams get the recognition they deserves for producing amazing work.

The Drum is one of the world’s largest marketing platforms which, with bases in New York, London and Singapore - attracts a global audience of 1m uniques a month. It counts the likes of Sheryl Sandberg, Maurice Levy and Martin Sorrell amongst its guest editors and contributors.

Our readers are hungry to find out about best practice, the best companies and the best people. These insights will help them make better decisions including who they should work with.

Having a powerful website at the heart of its eco-system gives The Drum Marketing Awards a unique advantage. If you win, the world will get to hear about it.

The Drum already runs a series of successful global competitions in which brands such as the New York Times, Google, IBM and HP to name but a few already compete. But we believe being the biggest does not necessarily mean being the best, which is why smaller businesses are keen to take part - it is their chance to demonstrate that they deserve a place on the podium alongside global brands.

Our categories are designed to recognise industry sectors, separate marketing disciples as well as the achievement of individuals ensuring these awards recognize every facet of the modern marketing world. Unlike other award schemes we will invest to ensure our judges can meet face-to-face ensuring a consistent, fare and credible outcome the world will regard as prestigious and robust.

This event will climax in a gala dinner in New York ensuring our nominees are treated with the dignity and respect that befits their status as being amongst the best marketers in the world.
